Leon KO
Leon Ko received his Master’s in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University. His musical Heading East won the Richard Rodgers Development Award in the United States. His other work Takeaway was the first major British Chinese musical in the United Kingdom, premiered at the Theatre Royal Stratford East in London. His Hong Kong musicals The Good Person of Szechwan, Field of Dreams, The Passage Beyond and Our Immortal Cantata won eight awards at the Hong Kong Theatre Awards.
His music in the film Perhaps Love garnered a Golden Horse Award in Taiwan and a Hong Kong Film Award. The title song he created for movie The Last Tycoon also won Best Original Song at the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards. Other film scores include Warlords, Mr. Cinema, The Great Magician, Dearest and Monster Hunt.
